I’m Jinny Moon, an award-winning biomedical and scientific communicator based in Toronto. I create research-informed visuals that make complex health and scientific ideas more understandable, engaging, and responsive to the people they serve. I’m especially interested in the questions behind visual communication: what we choose to represent, how we make complexity legible, and what those choices mean for the people encountering them.

My MSc research explores how trauma neurobiology can be communicated in ways that hold scientific rigour, cognitive accessibility, and care together. Developed for clinical psychoeducation at Women’s College Hospital, the project combines visual research, iterative design, animation, illustration, and reflective design inquiry.
